As our world has become increasingly “plugged in” and we have become wired to our devices, we seldom experience the true solitude that we may have known in the past. This three-syllable noun can have such a profound influence on our well-being when practiced in appropriate moderation. Although we are designed to be in relationship, the practice of creating moments of solitude can be helpful to allow for reflection, contemplation and overall intrapersonal discovery without distraction.

Are you comfortable with solitude? Why or why not? How can you become more comfortable and allow for greater reflection?
