Power Struggles- Do you struggle?

Power- "great ability to do, act, or affect strongly; vigor, force, strength"

How can we recognize and determine if we are heading into a "power struggle?" Power struggles surface when we begin to lose our sense of being and enter a competition of control as to whose voice is heard and who is considered "right," versus who is "wrong." This frequently destroys any movement towards understanding and compromise.
