Each of us has encountered those mind-boggling moments, baffling situations and difficult individuals that tug at us to no end. These can create in us an unstoppable itch to figure out and answer the question “why”. Often we discover the answer or solution. However, occasionally we are left in unceasing puzzlement and perplexity. In these situations, it is helpful to announce, “I surrender, you are a mystery to me.” I find that when wrestling leads to more confusion and distress, it may be time to surrender to the mystery.
