Language as Instrument

What language do you speak? No, I am not referring to native tongue or language of origin. Actually, I am asking what attention you bring to the language and words that you use to communicate. Are your words too often harsh like a clanging symbol or do your words express a soft and soothing melody in delivery of your message?
The importance of words and the manner of their expression is often overlooked. The occasions in which communication is strained are often related to poor word usage. Consider a piano with all of its keys and the way one note is played with another, we can parallel how we select our words to share with another.
Are there any communication patterns that you would like to "tune-up" by choosing a more melodic approach to your wording.
