Hand Over Heart


When we notice our emotions simmering and realize we are becoming overwhelmed, a possible movement for self that often brings a calming effect is to place a hand over our heart and remind ourself to “Be still and breathe deeply.” Take a moment, place your hand over your heart. Fully inhale and exhale, and recite, “Be still and breathe deeply,” while feeling your heartbeat.
