Welcome month of October! As Autumn begins to demonstrate the warm colors of the falling leaves, may we as spectators take pause and consider nature’s multi-colored display. What colors draw your attention?
Do you have a favorite color? Mine happens to be purple. I just love the shade of purple that you find each year in the Spring’s hyacinths. When you think about your favorite color, what shade is most enjoyable to you? Close your eyes and visualize that shade for a moment. Now, when you have one of those gloomy days, try a “color meditation.” Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and imagine your favorite color and some scenes or objects that include that color. Stay with image for about 30 seconds and then take another deep breath. Continue this meditation for about two more repetitions.
